Tuesday Preview - CQT Episode # 55

CQT Podcast # 55 - Part 2 of Quilting Ergonomics with Wendy Otto

Wendy Otto - Physiotherapist and
Owner of Summerland Physiotherapy.
Whether your neck feels kinked from hunching over your machine too long, your wrists are tired from obsessive quilting, or you are stiff and sore from sitting for hours working on the last bits of binding a quilt, aches and pain from prolonged quilting are a common problem.

Keep yourself in tip top shape for quilting and prevent aches and pains with Wendy's 7 exercises for quilters.  I did a little Q & A last week with Physiotherapist Wendy Otto, Owner of Summerland Physiotherapy and she shared her 10 Tips on Quilting Ergonomics and this week she shares her 7 quick exercises specifically for quilters.

Brandy + yoga = hilarious to watch.
So if you are feeling quilt induced pain on a regular basis OR you want to take measures to prevent pain so you can keep on quilting, then be sure to listen in this week to CQT Episode 55 and try a few exercises for quilters in Part 2 of Quilting Ergonomics.

And don't forget The Northcott Silks fabric give away for our weekly Quilter's Corner.  Our winner this week is ABBY WORKMAN with a story about what it's like to grow up with a mom who is a wonderful quilter....

Congrats Abby - you have won a fat quarter bundle from Northcott - the Cottons that feel like silk - and since you are a self-proclaimed non-stitcher, I'm sure our mom would love it if you pass on your fabric prize to her. It will be such a nice surprise.
And all the rest of you - Plug in your earbuds and go for a walk, or grab a cup of tea and relax in the easy chair to join me this week on CQT Episode 55 where I’ll talk about caring for your lovely bones and muscles so you can continue to quilt for years to come.
