Hi all, there are so many things to post, but so little time. Firstly, I have been doing so much writing and enjoying that immensely. But I have to put that on hold!
The Quilt Reflections Show is coming so fast! Be sure to check it out if you are in Winnipeg on April 9th to 11th. The venue is Canaad Inns Polo Park. I will have a few pieces in the show and of course the black and white quilt challenge which was so fun. I will also have a few items for sale in the boutique. I'm working on some quilted sleep masks with vintage ribbon. I hope the quilting ladies will love them. I know that the better I sleep, the better I quilt. I'm also thinking of designing some funky dog and cat blankets for all those pet lovers. Any left overs I'll try to sell at the local Humane Society.
Bye for now!

Gimli Retreat
Hey everyone,
It has been so long since I've had time to post. January has been so busy. I am not one to post everything like, "now I'm doing the dishes," and " Oh, excuse me, someone's at the door..." I really want to post items that would be exciting to quilters and fibre art enthusiasts, so here's the latest...
I just had the most wonderful quilting retreat in Gimli Manitoba with some very good friends and I completed my guild challenge. The idea was to use black and white and one other color with a maximum of 5 fabrics. This is my own design and it is curved piecing, fusible applique and machine quilted. They are all commercial fabrics from JoAnn Fabrics.
I've also attached some detail shots so you can see the different types of machine quilting. This quilt will be up for auction at the Quilt Reflections Show in Winnipeg on April 9 - 11th, 2010. There will be many challenge pieces up for auction and the proceeds will go to the Movement Centre of Manitoba. (a very good cause!) I hope to see you all out to take in the show!
