Tune in for next week's episode of Canadian Quilt Talk (when we'll have even better audio) and we'll be talking about something that we all can't get enough of and that's FABRIC! Our special guest is Marlene Starkman from Flare Fabrics. As the sponsor of that episode, she's giving away a fabulous prize:
A JELLY ROLL BY FREE SPIRIT - the entire Chicopee Line by Denyse Schmidt. (30 - 2 1/2" strips with 26 prints and 4 extras.) So send an email to Brandy Lynn Designs with your funny quilting story of 200 words or less. If we pick yours to read on the show you will win the prize. The Canadian Quilt Talk podcast is so new that we don't even have any entries yet, so your chances of winning the prize are fantastic!
Hi Brandy Lynn! I'm really looking forward to your upcoming podcasts. I think this is a great idea! We have so many talented Canadian quilters, but most of us don't know about them (not being ones to toot our own horns:). Can hardly wait to hear what you and your guests have to teach us.ReplyDelete
Hi Kim, so glad to have you on board! I know! Canadians are so humble and wonderful! So I'll be tooting their horns for them. I can't wait to feature some stellar talent. If you have a local favourite in your area, be sure to let us know so we can check them out. Cheers!Delete
JUST want to welcome you to the club ... I am an American Quilting Pod caster and just found out about you tonight on twitter. I will love hearing your podcast as I am sure it will be different and enlightening.ReplyDelete
We put the shout out to the other pod-caster's and we will let all of our listeners know about you. I am posting my links so you can connect with us there.
I am so excited.
Hi Nonnie, thank you so much for the warm welcome! So happy to be a part of the podcasting gang! I had a quick listen and you are absolutely adorable! Thanks for the kind words.Delete
Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! So wonderful to see this forum for all the great Canadian talent, much of it so unsung! I appreciate and enjoy all the American influence in the fibre art world, but it would be ever so lovely to see more of our Canadian quilt artists become “household names” as many of the American are. I just listened to your first podcast and an so excited to hear more! You can bet I will be sharing you with all my contacts! Thanks and looking forward to more!ReplyDelete
Thank you Jennifer for the kind words. I'm so glad you are excited to hear more. Stay tuned...so much fun to come...Delete
Are you going to post on iTunes? Mary AnnReplyDelete
YES! Mary Ann, the note on my Feedburner feed says, "Your feed is so new we are still playing with the bubble wrap!" I find that so funny, but once Feedburner processes my feed I'll post to iTunes, Blackberry and Zune right away. I'll make an announcement the instant it is available to subscribe.Delete
